When cleaning plastic turnover crates, attention should be paid to four key aspects: cleaning methods, material protection, hygiene compliance, and subsequent storage, to avoid damaging the crates or leaving behind hygiene hazards.
Precautions for Cleaning Methods
Avoid damaging tools: Do not use sharp tools like steel wool for scrubbing, as they can scratch the plastic surface and create crevices where dirt and grime accumulate.
Focus on hard-to-reach areas: Pay special attention to scrubbing crevices, locking mechanisms, and mesh openings to prevent the accumulation of food scraps, dirt, and other residues.
Pre-treat stubborn stains: For crates with ice or heavy grease, first rinse with room-temperature water to loosen the ice, then soak in warm water (approx. 40°C) mixed with food-grade alkali; do not scald directly with boiling water.
Optimize for batch cleaning: When cleaning large quantities of crates, prioritize high-pressure spray equipment combined with a multi-stage rinsing process to improve efficiency.
Precautions for Material Protection
Control maximum water temperature: Cleaning water temperature should not exceed 80°C; prolonged soaking in boiling water is strictly prohibited to prevent the plastic crates from deforming or cracking due to heat.
Avoid highly corrosive agents: When using "84" disinfectant, dilute it with water at a 1:200 ratio, soak for 2 hours, and then rinse thoroughly with clean water to prevent high-concentration disinfectant from corroding the plastic material.
Avoid sudden temperature changes: Do not transfer frozen crates directly from sub-zero environments into hot water; rapid temperature fluctuations can cause thermal expansion and contraction, leading to material embrittlement and flaking.
