General-purpose Plastics
PP (Polypropylene): Accounts for over half of the plastic used in interior and exterior components; lightweight and chemically resistant; commonly used for dashboard cores, bumper fascias, door trim panels, etc.
ABS Resin: Easy to electroplate or paint; offers good creep resistance; commonly used for electroplated grilles, rearview mirror housings, and interior trim strips; requires UV stabilizers to enhance weather resistance.
PC+ABS Alloy: Combines high impact strength with heat resistance (heat deflection temperature ≥110°C); commonly used for dashboards in high-end models, center console panels, and electroplated door handles.
PA (Nylon): High strength and oil resistance; PA66-GF30 can withstand temperatures up to 150°C; commonly used for structural components, clips, brackets, etc.

 

Elastomers and Soft Materials
TPO/TPU: Good elasticity and strong weather resistance; commonly used for soft skins and seals; suitable for vacuum forming and slush molding processes.
TPE Elastomer:Soft to the touch with good flowability; suitable for injection molding large, thin-walled parts; commonly used for interior skins and sealing strips; serves as a replacement for traditional PVC/PU.
PU (Polyurethane): Low foam density with excellent sound and heat insulation properties; commonly used for seat foam layers, headliner sound insulation pads, and steering wheel coverings.
Microfiber Synthetic Leather: Breathable, resistant to temperature fluctuations and repeated flexing, and does not age under intense sunlight; commonly used for door panel coverings; meets environmental standards for automotive interiors.
